Travel & Accommodation
We have reserved a block of rooms and multi-bedroom chalets at the Elkhorn Resort Spa & Conference Centre, Onanole, MB, from May 29-31, 2026. As we get closer to the event, we will contact you individually to discuss your preferred housing situation and send links to settle reservations.
For more information on the Elkhorn’s amenities:
If you do not require a room/chalet, please let us know as soon as possible!
How to get there?
The wedding and reception are located in Riding Mountain National Park, located approximately 250km from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The drive time is approximately 3 hours. We highly recommend renting a car or carpooling for the duration of the wedding, as public transit is non-existent in the area. We’ll be happy to help if you need carpooling buddies!
By car: Drive along the Trans-Canada Hwy/Route 1 West towards Portage la Prairie. Turn right onto Yellowhead Hwy/Route 16 W towards Neepawa. After 115km, turn right onto John Bracken Hwy/Route 10 North towards Saskatoon/Dauphin/Russell. Drive through Onanole, keeping on Route 10, and turn right at the signs for Elkhorn Resort.
Tips for the drive: It wouldn’t be a trip to Clear Lake without getting a blizzard from the Dairy Queen in Neepawa (cookie dough is our favourite!). And do stop to take a picture with the famous Happy Rock in Gladstone, MB!
Please note that all cars entering into Riding Mountain National Park or the town of Wasagaming require a park pass to enter. More information on passes and fees can be found here:
As of October 2025, we are not sure whether our wedding date will apply for the 2026 Canada Strong Pass, but will update as we know more.
By plane: The closest airport is the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport, located in Winnipeg, MB.
