We chose Clear Lake specifically because it holds so many family memories for Kady - from Thanksgiving dinners to winter hikes to the infamous Sarna Cup, heading out to Clear Lake always meant time together with those who are most important.

    We have reserved a block of rooms and multi-bedroom chalets at the Elkhorn Resort Spa & Conference Centre, Onanole, MB, from May 29-31, 2026. As we get closer to the event, we will contact you individually to discuss your preferred housing situation and send links to settle reservations.

  • Things to do in Clear Lake!

    We’re so excited to invite you to Clear Lake, one of the most beautiful and surprising areas of Canada. It’s truly nature at its finest! There’s plenty for everyone to do between our wedding festivities, whether it be exploring the wilderness, shopping in town, or enjoying a few marshmallows by the bonfire.

FAQs

  • For the events, such as the wedding and rehearsal dinner: please see the ‘Schedule’ page for detailed dress codes! Otherwise, we suggest casual clothing for exploring the town and sports clothing for outdoor activity (eg. hiking). Swimsuits and flip-flops/sandals are required for visiting the Klar So Nordic Spa and/or pool.  

  • Late May can be very unpredictable in Manitoba. Last year it was 31C on our wedding date - and the year before that, it snowed the week before! Pack layers, bring a light wrap for the evening, and check the weather forecast before you go. We have backups for all outdoor events in case of rain or snow.

  • Please see our ‘Schedule’ page for detailed times, instructions and maps!

  • Our ceremony and cocktail hour are planned to be outdoors. The rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch will be indoors, with optional outdoor areas. We have backups for all outdoor events in case of rain or snow.  

  • We are providing shuttle buses to and from the Elkhorn Resort, starting at 2:30pm, as overnight parking is very limited (and the RCMP are very strict about drinking and driving!). If you still choose to come your own way, please aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony (3:30pm). There is parking at the Clear Lake Golf Course clubhouse.

  • We are preparing our menus already to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. If you have other food intolerances or allergies, please let us know when you RSVP.

  • Yes! Their names will already be on your official invitation.

  • We are doing our best to make our wedding as accessible as possible: that being said, our events are being held in historical buildings or outdoors, and are therefore not 100% step-free. If there is anything we can do to help make our wedding more comfortable for you, please contact us so that we can help.
